Premier Lodge is the horse training/healing facility of Jason Proctor. The 25 acre property is located at Sawyers Gully in the heart of the Hunter Valley N.S.W, a 35 minute drive north -west of Newcastle.

 

'' I have been involved with horses all my life, riding my first horse at the tender age of 4.  At the age of 12 I found myself behind the horse, in the sulky, driving track work behind my farther David’s harness racing horses. I was involved in many different sports including Rugby League and Cricket throughout my teenage years however my passion for the harness racing sport and horse was of the strongest nature so at the age of 18 I decided to take harness racing on at a professional level . Looking back, I have no regrets. Over the Past 20 years I have had a great deal of success but more importantly a great deal of satisfaction in my chosen career, winning close to a 1,000 winners to date.

 

In my late twenties I purchased a old run down property at Sawyers Gully which in time has transformed into a modern day training facility [Premier Lodge]. From this venue I have trained/driven/owned many winners. However in my early thirties I decided to extend my knowledge of the animal and completed a diploma in Horse Acupuncture and my Natural Healing abilities and knowledge has snowballed from that date. Believing is seeing in my eyes and I see the advantages natural care/healing and maintenance has on the animal. These days, at 36, I believe in my intuition and patience to place the horse’s health first when training and healing for its racing career and retirement after any sporting activity.”
